11:57 AM EDT, 08/22/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Novo Resources ( NSRPF ) on Thursday reported "significant" assays from a relogging and infill sampling program at the Belltopper gold project in Australia.

A statement noted results include 6.0 meters at 4.37 grams per tonne (g/t) gold from 169m; 2.0 meters at 7.19 g/t gold from 52m; 3.1 meters at 3.29 g/t gold from 36m; 2.1 metres at 3.82 g/t gold from 78.9m; and 13 metres at 0.64 gold from 90m.

"The excellent work completed by our geological team, which has uncovered multiple significant intercepts including grades of up to 12.01 g/t [gold], highlights the exciting opportunity we have in front of us to further explore and develop Belltopper into a project with size and scale," said Mike Spreadborough, Novo's executive co-chairman and acting CEO in the statement.

Novo said it is currently focused on delivering an exploration target for the network of high-grade historic and newly discovered gold reefs at Belltopper, while growing the pipeline of conceptual high-value shallow and deeper targets.

Novo's shares were last seen down $0.005 to to $0.085 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
