Obsidian Energy ( OBE ) dropped 2.7% after the company said its offer to repurchase up to $48.4 million in outstanding 11.95% senior unsecured notes due July 2027 was undersubscribed.

Obsidian said only $1.4 million aggregate principal amount of the notes were validly tendered at the Aug. 12 deadline.

Upon completion of the offer, Obsidian said it has $110.8 million of notes outstanding.

The company's shares were last seen down $0.215 to $7.675 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
