Update On TELUS; Launching Entertainment Bundle In Ontario and Quebec
May 26, 2025 7:49 AM

10:31 AM EDT, 05/14/2025 (MT Newswires) -- TELUS Corporation ( TU ) said Wednesday it is launching a streaming and TV "experience" in Ontario and more regions of Quebec with new 'all-in-one' entertainment bundles.

The company said customers in select regions can now build "their ideal mix of premium streaming platforms" like Netflix, Disney+, Amazon Prime, Apple TV+ and illico+ with core live TV channels. It stated that this meets the growing demand amongst Canadians to choose the services they want, tailoring them to integrate streaming and live TV.

TELUS Consumer Solutions' Executive Vice-president and President Zainul Mawji claimed. "With this launch, TELUS ( TU ) becomes the only provider in Canada to offer customizable entertainment bundles."

Earlier Wednesday, TELUS ( TU ) announced a strategic partnership with GTCR, a private equity investor, supporting TELUS Health's recently announced acquisition of Workplace Options.

Last week, TELUS Health announced the acquisition of Workplace Options, a global provider of integrated employee wellbeing solutions across 200 countries and territories, for cash of approximately $500 million (US$350 million), net of assumed debt of approximately $100 million (US$70 million).

Wednesday's statement said GTCR will invest US$200 million as part of the acquisition.
