Silvercorp Metals ( SVM ) late on Thursday reported that its adjusted earnings surged in the fiscal fourth quarter as revenue jumped 76%.
Adjusted earnings, excluding most one-time items, rose to US$14.7 million, or US$0.07 per share, from US$3.8 million, or US$0.02, in the year-prior quarter, missing the US$0.10 earnings per share consensus estimate compiled by FactSet.
Revenue was US$75.1 million, up from US$42.7 million. The company processed 345,984 tonnes of ore, an increase from 237,493 tonnes. Production was 1.9-million ounces of silver equivalent, rising from 1.3-million ounces.
Silvercorp shares were last seen down $0.28 to $5.13 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
