Southwest Airlines ( LUV ) is planning to reduce its Atlanta flights to 381 weekly flights from 567, according to media reports Wednesday that cited the company.

Starting in April, the company will also trim its destinations from the city to 21 from 37, while expanding service in Nashville and adding redeye flights to Hawaii, according to the reports.

Although Southwest ( LUV ) is not planning any layoffs for its Atlanta-based employees, as many as 200 flight attendant and 140 pilot positions are expected to be eliminated and crews will likely need to submit bids to operate from other locations, CNBC said citing a company memo.

Southwest ( LUV ) did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
