Southwest Airlines ( LUV ) , American Airlines ( AAL ) and United Airlines (UAL) were among the US carriers that canceled flights early Monday due to Storm Blair, FlightAware data showed.

As of 8 am ET Monday, 1,446 flights within, into, or out of the US have been canceled while nearly 800 flights were delayed, according to FlightAware.

Southwest ( LUV ) canceled 362 flights, American Airlines Group ( AAL ) had 176 canceled flights while United and Delta Air Lines ( DAL ) canceled 78 and 39 flights, respectively, FlightAware said.

Southwest ( LUV ), American Airlines ( AAL ), United, and Delta also issued travel advisories warning clients that services may be disrupted due to the storm.

"We are preemptively managing our schedule to match reduced capacity at airports affected by Winter Storm Blair," a Southwest Airlines ( LUV ) spokesperson told MT Newswires in an email.

Southwest ( LUV ) is also providing "flexibility" for clients based on the forecasted weather conditions, the spokesperson said, adding that travelers who intend to change their travel schedule may rebook or travel standby within 14 days of their "original travel date, between the original city pairs, and in accordance with our accommodation procedures" without extra fee.

American Airlines ( AAL ), United Airlines and Delta did not respond to MT Newswires' requests for comment.
