Steppe Gold ( STPGF ) on Friday said its third-quarter profit fell on lower revenue.
The company booked a comprehensive income of US$7.1 million, or US$0.027 per share, dropping from US$8.2 million, or US$0.065 per share, in the year-prior quarter.
Revenue was down to US$29.4 million from US$37.3 million.
With strong gold prices, Steppe said it expects to see strong operating cash flow in the fourth quarter driven by production at the Boroo gold mine in Mongolia.
"With encouraging exploration potential and one of the region's only large-scale processing facilities, Boroo is becoming a multi-asset hub, with growing opportunities to process both our own ore and third-party material," Chief Executive Officer Bataa Tumur-Ochir said.
Steppe shares were last seen down $0.20 to $2.08 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
