Update: Steven Madden Shares Rise After Higher Q3 Revenue

Steven Madden (SHOO) shares were up 12% in recent Wednesday trading after the company reported higher Q3 revenue and issued Q4 adjusted earnings guidance that exceeded analyst predictions.

The company reported Q3 adjusted net income Wednesday of $0.43 per diluted share, down from $0.91 a year earlier.

Analysts polled by FactSet expected $0.44.

Revenue for the quarter ended Sept. 30 was $667.9 million, compared with $624.7 million a year earlier.

Analysts surveyed by FactSet expected $693.6 million.

For Q4, the company said it expects adjusted net income of between $0.41 and $0.46 per diluted share. Analysts polled by FactSet expect $0.29.
