Update: Symbotic to Implement Warehouse Automation Systems for Walmart in Mexico

Symbotic ( SYM ) said Thursday that it has signed commercial agreements to implement its warehouse automation systems in two greenfield distribution centers of Walmart ( WMT ) subsidiary Walmart ( WMT ) de Mexico y Centroamerica near Mexico City.

Symbotic ( SYM ) said the first site is currently breaking ground in the Bajio region of Mexico. Financial details were not provided.

The company also said it has established a new business entity, Symbotic Mexico, to serve customers in Mexico.

Symbotic ( SYM ) shares were up 20.6% in recent trading.
