Tesla (TSLA) shareholder Richard Tornetta, who challenged Chief Executive Officer Elon Musk's $56 billion pay package, is asking a Delaware court to issue an order barring Musk from moving the dispute to Texas, according to media reports Wednesday.
Tornetta asked Delaware Chancellor Kathaleen McCormick, who previously voided Musk's estimated $56 billion pay package in a January ruling, to move ahead on his request before the automaker's June 13 annual meeting, Bloomberg reported.
Tornetta is also asking the court to seize the stock options that would be issued to Musk under the compensation plan to prevent the CEO from avoiding the January ruling, Reuters reported.
Tesla didn't immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
Tesla stock rose 12% in recent Wednesday trading.
