Update: TotalEnergies Buys West Burton Energy for $575 Million

TotalEnergies (TTE) said Wednesday it has signed a deal with EIG to buy all of West Burton Energy's shares for 450 million British pounds ($575 million).

West Burton owns and operates the West Burton B gas-fired power plant in Nottinghamshire, England, that comprises three combined-cycle gas turbines with a 1.3-gigawatt output, the company said.

TotalEnergies said it foresees its gas-based power generation capacity requirement at 700 megawatts and intends to sell 50% of the purchased assets.
