Update: Tyson Foods Shares Fall After Fiscal Q2 Sales Miss Estimates

Tyson Foods ( TSN ) shares fell 6.9% in recent Monday trading after the company's fiscal Q2 sales missed analysts' estimates.

The company reported fiscal Q2 adjusted earnings Monday of $0.62 per share, swinging from a loss of $0.04 a year earlier.

Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected $0.40.

Sales for the quarter ended March 30 were $13.07 billion, down from $13.13 billion a year earlier.

Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expected $13.16 billion.

For fiscal 2024, the company continues to expect sales to be "relatively flat" compared with the year before.
