The United Airlines (UAL) Teamsters union said Wednesday it will resume negotiations with the carrier this week.

"After reaching tentative agreements on non-economic proposals last month, the United Airlines Teamsters national negotiating committee is now working on winning historic wage increases, substantially lower health care costs, and a faster wage progression for new technicians," the union said in a post on social media platform X.

The union represents more than 10,000 United aircraft maintenance technicians in the US.

United declined MT Newswires' request for comment.
