VirTra ( VTSI ) shares rose more than 18% in recent trading Thursday after the company said it has won a $5.9 million order for prototypes to support the Integrated Visual Augmentation System program of the US Army.

With Microsoft ( MSFT ) as the prime contractor, the order covers bolt kits and magazines and high-pressure air fill stations for the program's specifications, VirTra ( VTSI ) said.

The company said it will recognize revenue in three stages with reliability testing, soldier assessment and final hardware deliveries all scheduled this year.
