Update: Vistra Shares Jump After Receiving 20-Year License Extension for Comanche Peak Nuclear Power Plant

Vistra ( VST ) shares rose nearly 14% in recent trading Wednesday, a day after the company said it received 20-year licenses from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission to continue operating the Comanche Peak Nuclear Power Plant through 2053.

The two units of Comanche Peak can now operate through 2050 and 2053, twenty years beyond their original licenses, according to Vistra ( VST ).

Comanche Peak is the third of Vistra's ( VST ) four nuclear plants to get a license extension from the NRC, the power generation firm said.
