12:30 PM EDT, 05/22/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Wallbridge Mining ( WLBMF ) reported on Wednesday the final assays from its 2,396-meter drilling program at its Fenelon gold project in Quebec, intersecting near-surface high-grade gold mineralization.
Highlights include 29.48 grams per tonne (g/t) gold over 1.4 meters, 37.95 g/t gold over 1.9 meters, 12.09 g/t gold over 0.5 meters and 41.55 g/t gold over 0.5 meters.
"These new intercepts provide further confirmation of the continuity and distribution of gold mineralization within the Fenelon mineral resource," chief executive Brian Penny said. "This near-surface mineralization could provide a positive impact on the project, and it will be used to advance the combined Fenelon-Martiniere preliminary economic assessment currently in progress."
Wallbridge said final preparations are underway for a 2024 regional exploration drilling program, which is scheduled to begin in early June.
Wallbridge shares were last seen unchanged at $0.10 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
