Walmart ( WMT ) appointed Seth Dallaire as chief growth officer in the US, the company's US Chief Executive John Furner said in a memo on Friday.

In the newly created position, Dallaire will oversee marketing, design, and product teams in addition to running Walmart's ( WMT ) non-retail businesses, according to the memo.

Jon Alferness, chief product officer in the US, will leave the company, but will remain on an advisory role until the end of the year, Furner said.
