Update: Walmart Mexico CEO Steps Down

Walmart ( WMT ) said Friday that Ignacio Caride, chief executive officer of Walmart Mexico and Central America submitted his resignation with immediate effect.

With Caride's resignation, Cristian Barrientos Pozo was appointed as interim leader of Walmart ( WMT ) de Mexico y Centroamerica until a recruitment process is completed, the company said.

The company also said Guilherme Loureiro will continue in a role overseeing Mexico, Central America, Canada and Chile operations.
