WeRide ( WRD ) shares were up more than 14% in recent Tuesday trading after the company said it is preparing to launch Robotaxi trial operations via Uber ( UBER ) in Saudi Arabia in the coming months, with full commercial rollout expected by late 2025.

The company also said it has been testing and deploying its Robobus in key areas, including King Fahad Medical City, Aramco residential communities, AlUla, and the Ritz-Carlton in Riyadh.

The Robosweeper S1 has also been launched at King Fahad Medical City, making it Saudi Arabia's first monetized autonomous sanitation initiative, WeRide ( WRD ) said.
