Update: Yum China Shares Rise After Q3 Earnings, Revenue Climb

01:42 PM EST, 11/04/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Yum China Holdings ( YUMC ) shares rose 8.6% in recent trading Monday after the company reported Q3 earnings and revenue increased.

Earnings in the quarter ended Sept. 30 rose to $0.77 per diluted share from $0.58 a year earlier, the company said Monday.

Two analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expected $0.67.

Revenue climbed to $3.07 billion from $2.91 billion a year earlier.

Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected $3.03 billion.

In 2024, the company continues to expect 1,500 to 1,700 net new store openings.

Yum China ( YUMC ) maintained its cash dividend at $0.16 a share, payable Dec. 17 to investors of record Nov. 26.
