05:41 AM EST, 11/12/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Upwork ( UPWK ) said Wednesday it will open its first international operational hub in Lisbon to expand product development and technical hiring.

The office, planned in the Alcntara district, is expected to be fully operational by Q4 2026, the company said.

The hub will focus on scaling AI innovation and growing the marketplace's global engineering footprint, and Upwork ( UPWK ) has begun hiring in the region to support the expansion, it said.
