US approves sale of Aegis destroyer tech support to Japan, Pentagon says

WASHINGTON, Sept 3 (Reuters) - The U.S. State Department

has approved the potential sale of Aegis class destroyer

follow-on technical support and related equipment to Japan for

an estimated cost of $150 million, the Pentagon said on Tuesday.

The principal contractor will be Lockheed Martin ( LMT ),

the Pentagon said in a statement.
