WASHINGTON, June 12 (Reuters) - The U.S. Federal

Aviation Administration (FAA) is in contact with the National

Transportation Safety Board regarding the Air India plane that

crashed after taking off from India's western city of Ahmedabad

with 242 people on board, the FAA said on Thursday in a

statement posted on X.
