US Aviation Authority Removes Shutdown Flying Restrictions

03:59 AM EST, 11/17/2025 (MT Newswires) -- The US Federal Aviation Administration said Sunday that it has terminated the agency's order to reduce flights because of the government shutdown, effective Monday morning. "

"This means normal operations can resume across the National Airspace System," the aviation regulator said.

The FAA added that it knows of reports of alleged non-compliance during the time of the restrictions and is considering enforcement options.
