US Aviation Regulator to Conduct 3-Month Review of Boeing's Safety Processes

10:57 AM EDT, 10/18/2024 (MT Newswires) -- The US Federal Aviation Administration said Friday a new review of Boeing's ( BA ) safety processes will take three months.

The FAA will undertake a comprehensive review of Boeing's ( BA ) continued operational safety processes to ensure they comply with FAA requirements and provide timely, accurate safety-related information for FAA use.

This review is part of the FAA's 'aggressive oversight' to ensure Boeing ( BA ) has the necessary tools to implement lasting improvements in its safety culture.

The evaluation will focus on critical aspects of Boeing's ( BA ) safety protocols, including response times, quality of risk assessments, resource allocation, and adherence to regulatory standards and FAA policies, the agency said.

Boeing ( BA ) didn't immediately respond to a request for comment by MT Newswires.

Boeing ( BA ) shares were shedding 0.4% in recent trading.
