US Bureau of Land Management Cancels Esmeralda Seven Solar Farm Project in Nevada

10:29 AM EDT, 10/10/2025 (MT Newswires) -- The US Bureau of Land Management has cancelled the Esmeralda Seven Solar Farm Project, which includes developers NextEra Energy ( NEE ) , according to an update on its website.

The recently updated BLM National National Environmental Policy Act or NEPA Register shows the project's states as "cancelled" as per a Thursday update on the website.

The project comprised of seven solar farms covering about 118,000 acres of federal land located northwest of Las Vegas and would have been one of the world's largest photovoltaic power plants, Bloomberg reported.

NextEra Energy ( NEE ) and the Bureau of Land Management did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
