Oct 16 (Reuters) - The U.S. Chamber of Commerce called
for a quick end to the month-old strike of 33,000 machinists at
planemaker Boeing ( BA ) that has halted production of the 737
MAX.
The largest U.S. business group said the International
Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers and Boeing ( BA ) "must
reach an agreement on a new labor contract. This strike is not
only leading to layoffs for 17,000 Boeing ( BA ) workers, but it also
jeopardizes thousands of jobs at Boeing ( BA ) suppliers across 40
states."
