WASHINGTON, Jan 30 (Reuters) - U.S. congressional
offices have been warned not to use Chinese artificial
intelligence app DeepSeek, Axios reported on Thursday, citing a
notice to the offices by the U.S. House of Representative's
chief administrative officer.
"At this time, DeepSeek is under review by the CAO and is
currently unauthorized for official House use," the notice said,
according to Axios.
The emergence of the low-cost Chinese AI model has
threatened the market dominance of U.S.-based AI leaders such as
OpenAI and Alphabet's Google.
