U.S. Department of Energy approves Venture Global CP2 export permit

BOSTON, March 19 (Reuters) - The U.S. Department of

Energy said on Wednesday it approved Venture Global's ( VG ) export

permit request for its proposed CP2 LNG project in Cameron

Parish, Louisiana.

The export permit approval is the fifth LNG-related approval

from the Department of Energy since President Donald Trump took

office and lifted a freeze on new export permits imposed by the

previous administration.
