WASHINGTON, Oct 29 (Reuters) - The United States issued
a Russia-related general license authorizing transactions
involving Rosneft Deutschland GmbH and RN Refining & Marketing
GmbH, according to a posting Wednesday on a Treasury Department
website.
The transactions are authorized through 12:01 a.m. EDT,
April 29, 2026, the website said.
Washington had floated a six-month deadline for Berlin to
sort out the ownership limbo affecting the German assets of
Russian oil major Rosneft (ROSN.MM), allowing Rosneft to be
temporarily exempted from U.S. sanctions, Bloomberg News
reported on Monday, citing people familiar with the matter.
The Trump administration had conveyed to German counterparts
that it was considering granting the non-renewable, limited
general license, the report said.
