02:59 PM EDT, 04/05/2024 (MT Newswires) -- A US judge overseeing Donald Trump's April 15 criminal trial reportedly blocked a subpoena by the former US president to Comcast's ( CMCSA ) NBCUniversal over a recent documentary about adult movie star Stormy Daniels, multiple media outlets reported Friday.

Trump, the 2024 Republican presidential candidate, claimed that Daniels and NBC conspired to release the film close to the trial to damage him, but Justice Juan Merchan ruled the accusation was unsupported.

Neither Trump nor Comcast ( CMCSA ) immediately respond to requests for comment from MT Newswires.
