US Justice Department subpoenas major banks over alleged 'debanking', WSJ reports

June 10 (Reuters) - The U.S. Justice Department has issued

subpoenas to several major banks, including JPMorgan Chase ( JPM )

and Bank of America ( BAC ), seeking information on

whether the banks improperly closed customer accounts for

political reasons, the Wall Street Journal reported on

Wednesday.

Bank of America ( BAC ) declined to comment.
