US says it approves possible sale of military telecoms system to Canada

March 7 (Reuters) - The U.S. State Department has

approved the possible sale of military satellite communications

technology to Canada for an estimated $138 million, the Pentagon

said on Thursday.

The equipment, made by General Dynamics ( GD ), would help Canadian

forces operate in remote northern regions, the Pentagon said in

a written statement.
