WASHINGTON, March 19 (Reuters) - U.S. airlines are
projected to carry a record 167.1 million passengers in March
and April, up 6.2% over 2023 levels as travel continues to be
robust after the COVID pandemic.
Airlines for America, which represents American Airlines ( AAL )
, Delta Air Lines ( DAL ), United Airlines,
Southwest Airlines ( LUV ) and others, projects daily travel
will top 2.7 million daily over the two-month period as flights
grow by 4.1% and the number of seats per flight increases by
1.1% on average to 137.
