US State Dept okays potential sale of air-to-air missiles to Japan for $3.64 billion

Jan 2 (Reuters) - The U.S. State Department has approved

a potential sale of advanced medium-range air-to-air missiles

and related equipment to Japan for an estimated $3.64 billion,

the Pentagon said on Thursday.

The principal contractor for the sale will be RTX Corp ( RTX )

, the Pentagon said in a statement.
