US, UK to Seek Preferential Treatment on Pharmaceutical Tariffs

09:04 AM EDT, 05/09/2025 (MT Newswires) -- The White House said Thursday that in their new trade deal, the US and the UK "intend to promptly negotiate significantly preferential treatment outcomes on pharmaceuticals and pharmaceutical ingredients."

"The United Kingdom confirms that it will endeavor to improve the overall environment for pharmaceutical companies operating in the United Kingdom," the White House said.
