Usana Health Sciences Acquires 79% Stake in Hiya Health Products for $205 Million

10:42 AM EST, 12/23/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Usana Health Sciences ( USNA ) said Monday that it acquired a 78.8% controlling stake in Hiya Health Products for $205 million.

The transaction, which closed on Monday, includes a put or call feature that allows Usana to acquire the remaining equity in Hiya at a pre-negotiated valuation scale, according to the company.

Usana said it financed the transaction with $200 million cash on hand and the remaining was covered by its existing credit facility.

Shares of Usana were up 2.5% in recent trading.
