03:56 PM EDT, 05/01/2024 (MT Newswires) -- V2X (VVX) said Wednesday it was awarded $75 million from the US military to advance threat detection and response for chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear hazards.
V2X said $50 million of the funding is allocated for a five-year project establishing the company as the primary systems integrator for the CBRN Support to Command and Control program.
The company is also wrapping up a $25 million award to "modernize and re-architect" the CBRN threat warning and notification application, and predictive hazard propagation tools to improve operational decision support.
Both CBRN initiatives are crucial for advancing the Department of Defense's vision for Combined Joint All-Domain Command and Control, the company said.
V2X shares rose 2.5% in recent trading Wednesday.
