Valmont Industries Q2 Earnings Rise, Sales Ease; 2024 EPS Outlook Boosted

05:44 PM EDT, 07/24/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Valmont Industries ( VMI ) reported late Wednesday fiscal Q2 earnings of $4.91 per diluted share, up from $4.21 a year earlier.

Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected $4.08.

Net sales in the 13 weeks ended June 29 fell to $1.04 billion from $1.05 billion a year earlier.

Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expected $1.04 billion.

The company boosted 2024 EPS guidance to $16.50 to $17.30 from $15.40 to $16.40. Analysts polled by Capital IQ expect $15.85.

Shares of Valmont Industries ( VMI ) fell 1.5% in after-hours trading.
