01:56 PM EST, 03/06/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Vaxart ( VXRT ) said Wednesday it appointed Steven Lo as chief executive, president and board member, starting March 18.

Lo will succeed Michael J. Finney, who will step down as interim chief executive and continue as chairman of the board, according to the company.

Lo most recently served as chief executive of biotechnology company Valitor, Vaxart ( VXRT ) added.

The company's shares were down 5% in recent trading.
