01:06 PM EST, 11/29/2024 (MT Newswires) -- VEON (VEON) said Friday the Shevchenkivskyi District Court of Kyiv in Ukraine ruled in its favor to unfreeze 47.85% of the company's rights in Kyivstar and 100% of the rights in its other units.

The company said the decision removes restrictions imposed by the Ukrainian courts on its corporate rights.

Shares of the company closed over 3% higher Friday.
