10:37 AM EDT, 03/26/2024 (MT Newswires) -- VEON (VEON) said Tuesday it agreed to sell its 50.1% indirect stake in Beeline Kyrgyzstan to CG Corp Global unit CG Cell Technologies.

The price wasn't disclosed.

VEON said the sale will help simplify its structure and focus on its large markets.

Completion of the sale of the stake, which is held by VIP Kyrgyzstan Holding AG, is subject to regulatory approvals, VEON said.
