12:33 PM EDT, 05/28/2024 (MT Newswires) -- VEON (VEON) said Tuesday it struck a deal to sell its 49% stake in TNS Plus to its joint venture partner, the DAR group of companies, for $137.5 million.

TNS Plus is a Kazakhstan-based joint venture that supplied telecommunications infrastructure services. The transaction closing is subject to regulatory approvals in Kazakhstan.

"This agreement marks further progress on the execution of our asset-light strategy," Veon Chief Executive Kaan Terzioglu said.
