11:01 AM EDT, 08/25/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Verint Systems' ( VRNT ) acquisition by Thoma Bravo validates Verint's ( VRNT ) artificial intelligence-driven customer experience platform and highlights AI now contributing about half of its recurring revenue, Wedbush said in a note Monday.
"We believe this was a strategic move for both entities as these organizations are closely aligned in terms of customer experience automation that leverages data and AI with Thoma Bravo already heavily invested in this market," Wedbush analysts said in the note.
Under the agreement, which values Verint ( VRNT ) at nearly $2 billion, Verint ( VRNT ) shareholders will receive $20.50 per share in cash, an 18% premium to the company's 10-day volume weighted average price through June 25. The deal is expected to close before the end of Verint's ( VRNT ) fiscal year, subject to customary conditions, the note said.
Thoma Bravo plans to integrate Verint's ( VRNT ) capabilities into its existing portfolio company, Calabrio, which it acquired in 2021, Wedbush said. The move is intended to create a larger, AI-driven customer experience platform and enhance Verint's ( VRNT ) ability to capitalize on the growing AI market, according to the note.
Wedbush maintained an outperform rating on Verint ( VRNT ) and lowered its price target to $20.50 from $30 to reflect the acquisition price.
