Revenue in the three months ended Sept. 30 rose to $419.1 million from $390.6 million a year earlier.

Two analysts surveyed by FactSet expected $416.7 million.

The company maintained its quarterly dividend at $0.77 a share, payable Nov. 25 to holders of record Nov. 18.

VeriSign ( VRSN ) shares rose 1% in after-hours trading.
