05:36 PM EDT, 10/08/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Verisk Analytics ( VRSK ) estimated industry insured losses from Hurricane Helene of $6 billion to $11 billion.

The losses were attributed to wind, storm surge and hurricane precipitation-induced floods, the company said Tuesday in a statement.

The company's extreme event solutions group's loss forecast excludes the National Flood Insurance Program, among other things.
