Verizon Communications Introduces GenAI Tools to Support Customer Service

02:04 PM EDT, 05/14/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Verizon Communications ( VZ ) said Tuesday that it is introducing new generative artificial intelligence tools to support customer service.

The tools are designed to help both the customers and customer service partners, and include offerings like an AI-backed personal research assistant that helps frontline teams quickly find info for customers as well as a "Fast Pass" feature that uses AI to match customers with a customer care representative, the company said.

The company added that it is also using AI as a customer's personal shopper and problem solver, and has adopted a "segment of me" approach to offering personalized deals to each customer.
