10:51 AM EDT, 08/05/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Verizon Communications ( VZ ) said Monday about $2.23 billion of principal amount of 10 outstanding series of notes maturing from 2025 through 2028 were exchanged for newly issued notes due 2035.

The outstanding notes were tendered as of Friday, the original early participation date.

Verizon's private exchange offer expires 5 p.m. ET Aug. 19. An extended early participation date will occur at the same time the exchange offers are scheduled to expire, the company said.

Shares of Verizon fell 2.5% in recent Monday trading.
