Verizon Communications Seeks to Exchange Up to $2.5 Billion in Notes

11:11 AM EDT, 06/12/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Verizon Communications ( VZ ) initiated launched 10 separate private offers to exchange up to a combined $2.5 billion in outstanding notes, due in 2026 to 2030, for newly issued notes, which will mature on July 2, 2037.

The new notes will bear interest at an annual rate equal to the sum of the yield on the 4.25% US Treasury security due May 15, 2035, plus 105 basis points, the company said Thursday in a statement.

The exchange offers will expire June 18, unless extended or earlier terminated, the company said. Verizon also initiated 10 separate cash purchase offers for holders ineligible for the exchange, which will expire June 18.
