10:32 AM EDT, 09/13/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Verizon Communications ( VZ ) said Friday it has switched on new cell sites to expand 4G and 5G coverage in Pooler, Port Wentworth, and Savannah in Georgia.

The company said the network upgrades allow it to handle more traffic.

Verizon also said it has activated an in-building network at the Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport.
